Relational Sanctification

August 29, 2021 Speaker: Paul Sanders Series: Romans

Topic: Relational Sanctification Passage: Romans 12:11–16

Romans 12:11-16

Do not give up on one-another

12 Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.

Rejoice in hope

Persevere in tribulation

Be constant in prayer

C.H. Spurgeon, said, "A prayer-less soul is a Christ-less soul."

Matthew Henry said that "Those who live without prayer live without God in this world."

13 Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality.

Love acts. Love takes steps to care for one another (give, be hospitable)

14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them.

15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep.

Sympathize and Empathize

16 Live in harmony with one another

16 Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight.

Humble your self

Consider how Jesus displayed all these in perfection!
