Romans 2:17-29 

How confident are you that you would go to Heaven if you died today? (0-100%)?

 

If you were to die this day and stood before God and He asked:

“Why should I let you into my Kingdom?” What would you answer?

 

The false security of a spiritual heritage (vs. 17-18).

 

The false security of intellectualism and moralism (vs. 19-24).

 

The false security of religion (vs. 25-29).

Six Things the Jews were proud of:

 

  1. They were proud that they were Jews. 
  2. They were proud that they had the law of God.
  3. They were proud about their particular relationship to God.
  4. They were proud they could make correct ethical decisions.
  5. They were proud of how well they knew the law.
  6. They were proud that they could lead others in truth.
