January 27, 2019 Speaker: Paul Sanders Series: Being Built Up

Topic: Nehemiah Passage: Nehemiah 5:1–5:19

Nehemiah 5:1-13

“You are engaged in some important work. You have been opposed by people who are not Christians and do not share the vision. You have overcome that form of opposition and are pressing on, when suddenly there is a problem within the church or Christian community itself. Often this treat is more of a problem than the external threat.” James Boice

 Nehemiah was righteously angry.

Nehemiah went to the offenders. (Matt. 18)

Matthew 18:15-16

Nehemiah used his authority and influence, to correct, instruct, and warn the offending parties.

Nehemiah led by example and persevered in the work.

Nehemiah 5:14-19

Consider how Nehemiah points us to Jesus.
