FAITHFUL

Sex is not a god to be worshipped as our world sets it up to be.

Sex is not gross or dirty as many religious groups can make it seem.

Sex is a good gift from God to be enjoyed in marriage.

Redeemed and faithful intimacy brings and demonstrates Oneness between husband and wife.

Redeemed and faithful intimacy is focused on the other. It is selfless.

Song of Song 4:1-7

Redeemed and faithful marital intimacy is kind and tender (vs. 1-7)

Redeemed and faithful marital intimacy is patient and romantic (vs. 1-7).

Redeemed and faithful marital intimacy is exhilarating (vs. 6).

Song of Songs 4:8-9

Redeemed and faithful marital intimacy is inviting and affirming (vs. 8-9).

Redeemed and faithful marital intimacy is a call to oneness (vs. 8).

Song of Songs 4:10-11

Redeemed and faithful marital intimacy is sensuous (9-12).

Song of Songs 4:12-15

Redeemed and faithful marital intimacy is holy. (vs. 12)

Song of Songs 4:16

Redeemed and faithful marital intimacy is good to be desired. (16)

Redeemed and faithful marital intimacy is positively responsive (16).

1 Corinthians 7:3-5

Husbands and wives, that is for each of you to memorize BUT for neither of you to quote to the other!

All of this points us to Jesus and His grace, His affirmation, His kindness and tenderness, His patience, His invitation, and Oneness with Him!

Redeemed and Faithful intimacy points us to our God.
