Agathos - Mission and Vision

February 1, 2015 Speaker: Paul Sanders Series: Agathos

Topic: Matthew Passage: Matthew 28:16–28:20

“AGATHOS Mission & Vision”
February 1, 2015
“And Jesus came and said to them, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.’” Matthew 28:18-20
Jesus is quite clear about His mission and vision for the Church and her people. At CCC, we are actively pursuing the heart of His mission, “for God’s glory, to make and deploy mature and equipped disciples of Jesus Christ.” This is more than a slogan though. It is a lifestyle of faith and dependence upon the Giver of all good things as we pursue His AGATHOS treasure. As the bride of Christ, we are a body striving and working to accomplish this mission in many ways, each to his or her God-ordained abilities and talents. With great thanksgiving, we worship as a community devoted to His mission in every area of our lives.
Take a moment to think over and pray the following prayer. Consider how your thanksgiving to God might cause you to respond in the areas of life we are going to explore in the weeks to come.
Dear Lord,
Thank you for your goodness and provision in my life. With great rejoicing, I thank you for ...
