Married to Carolyn, my junior high sweetheart. Yes, we met when I was in 6th grade and she was in 7th grade. We spent many hours on the phone when the phone was still connected to the wall. We dated throughout high school and got married May 7th, 1977. I have four grown children - Nick marrying Jessica, Nate married to Molly with one child Natalie (YEAH), Renee married to Ryan one child Reese (so much fun), Dana married to Jason.

We have lived in OH, MI, IL, and SC (but I am still a Michigander; I drink pop.) I graduated from Cedarville College with a major in Business Management and a minor in Bible. I have worked in retail management, printing, transportation, and a former business owner (2 convenience stores, 4 subways.) before joining the staff of Christ Community Church in 2002 (at that time a student renamed me to "JP".)

I Love all sports. use to play now I watch. Anything University of Michigan (tough football year 2008, 2009 & 2010 but we will be back) (basketball did beat Clemson this year YEAH! 2009 & 2010) GO BLUE! Love hanging out with students. Love my grandchildren.
